If there was a single word tp describe my practice, it would be
My work is about breakage, fractures, conflict and decay. It depicts gaps and cracks, not as fault lines, but as pathways that allow light to shine through.
Pathways that lead us to see what we had not seen before, touch what appears to be intangible, and dream the impossible.
Below is a selection of portfolios.
Shivani works with Oil paints, charcoal, sculpture and installation and digital interactive and generative art. Her current portfolios are situated at the intersection of art, science amf technology, They are directly influenced by research in three distinct disciplines:
- Ancient Indian philosophy from the Upanishads, emphasizing self-discovery and interconnectedness, encouraging individuals to look within themselves to understand the universe.
